Junior Girl Scout: Mystery in the Museum Have you ever dreamed of being a criminal investigator? The Washington County Historical Society is pleased to offer a new program for Junior Girl Scouts in grades 4 and 5 where scouts can get this experience. Scouts are called to the scene of a robbery at the Old Courthouse Museum and will complete activities and put the clues together to discover the culprit. Dust for fingerprints, analyze handwriting, learn chromatography and collect trace evidence all while earning your Detective Badge! The charge is $9.00 per scout. Cash or check only, we cannot process cards. Due to limited space, only registered Junior Girl Scouts may participate. Registration and payment are required by February 27, 2014. How to Make Maple Syrup for Fun & Profit at Riveredge Nature Center, 4458 County Hwy Y, Newburg, WI  Cost: $15 per person for Non-Members; Trail Pass and All Access members: $10 Maple sugaring on a small scale is a great way to welcome spring! It's easy, fun and a great educational activity.   Even with just a few trees, you can make enough syrup for gifts for friends and family.  Join the Riveredge staff to see the sugaring process from beginning to end.  Learn how to identify and tap a maple; collect and boil down the sap; and how to finish off and bottle the syrup.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Annual Spring Book Sale held in the community room at the Germantown Community Library.  There are typically over 10,000 previously enjoyed books on display in a variety of topics for as little as 50 cents for a paperback and $1 for  hardcover book.  There are also special priced older books, some first editions and other specialty items.  Proceeds from this sale will go to library activities and projects.   The library address is: N112 W16957 Mequon Road, Germantown.  For questions call 262-253-7760.
