Buying Local Foods  The Washington County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE) will host an educational meeting about buying and using locally grown foods at the Public Agency Center, room 1113, 333 E. Washington St., West Bend, WI. During this educational meeting guests will learn about buying and using locally raised foods, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), farmers markets and more.  Guest speakers are Chris and Tamara Johnson of Johnson Family Pastures, LLC. The Johnsons raise pasture-raised chicken, pork and beef as well as duck eggs and microgreens.  This meeting is open to the public but pre-registration is required.  Space is limited. Fee: $3.00. Kettle Moraine Destination Imagination (KMDI) Tournament at Kennedy Middle School, W160 N11836 Crusader Court, Germantown, WI 53022

Twenty-four teams from the Germantown School District will be competing in one of six categories to advance to the state level: Technical, Scientific, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Structural and Service Learning. Teams have been meeting since fall to solve their challenge: building machines, structures and props, writing skits, doing research, making costumes and practicing improv. They also compete in 5 minute instant challenges.

About DI:The Destination Imagination program encourages teams of learners to have fun, take risks, focus and frame challenges while incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the arts, and service learning. Our participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Teams may showcase solutions at a tournament.

Germantown Recreation Department's 21st Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Firemen's Park open to youngsters who are in the Germantown School District, ages 1-7 to search for candy, eggs and other surprises. The event is FREE to all participants. All you need is an Easter basket or bucket to collect eggs and candy. In case of inclement weather, hunt will be held at Kennedy Middle School. No registration required; just show up!  Children are divided into the following categories: ages 1-3; ages 4 & 5; ages 6 & 7.

Four Generational Easter Bunny Lunch sponsored by the Germantown Senior Citizen's Club A hot dog lunch will be served with an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Easter cupcake decorating will be assisted by Germantown Seniors. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no phone reservations; see below.

Ticket Reservations: Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center, Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-4:00pm from March 24th to April 9th.
