Spanish Honor Society Germantown High School Mitten, Hat, Scarf Drive New or gently used hats, mittens and scarves may be dropped off at collection boxes at local stores and at Germantown High School. Students will march and also collect in the Germantown Christmas parade on November 15th so please bring any donations for low-income families. Dental Professionals is having their 3rd Annual Halloween Candy Buyback to Help Support Our Troops! Candy will be collected at their office, N112 W16760 Mequon Road, Germantown. (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Dental Professionals will pay $1.00 per pound (up to $5) for unopened Halloween candy, and donors will receive a tooth brush. Their goal is to ship 500 pounds of candy to service men and women!

Germantown, American Legion Post No. 1 will be honoring all Veterans. There will be a ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial, at Firemen's Park, at 11am. If you are in the Honor or Color Guard please be at the Post no later than 10:30am. All the new names added to the Wall will be read. Lunch will be served at the post, following the service. All members are encouraged to attend.

Tree Lighting Activities sponsored by Hilton Garden Inn and Cambridge Major Laboratories
2:00pm-4:30pm Meet us at the Germantown Community Library for activities leading up to lighting of the Official Village Christmas Tree. There will be free horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling, free hot chocolate & treats, other food items will be available for purchase, and of course, visit with Santa; don’t forget your camera! Around 4pm, we’ll gather for carols as the tree is lit and the season officially starts in Germantown.

Handmade for the Holidays at Riveredge Nature Center Our trails are closed for the hunting season, but our doors are open to families for a day of creativity and gift making. Children of all ages can make seasonal gifts including: wood working, card making, food projects, textiles and ornaments. Outpost Natural Foods Cooperative is donating yummy ingredients so children can assemble gift jars of a delicious treat! Each child can make and take home multiple projects. Hot chocolate, coffee and popcorn will be served. (Participants ten years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.) Fee: $20 per child for Non-Members; $15 per child All Access and Trail Pass Members; $15 per child for Outpost Members. Pre-registration required, space is limited.
