GERMANTOWN AREA RECREATION

In Germantown, preserving the community’s natural landscape is as important as development. Germantown has 10 parks providing tennis courts, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, cross-country ski trails, playground equipment, and more. Strawberry, apple and pumpkin picking, and snowmobiling are additional seasonal choices for weekend activities. Richfield’s Heritage Park hosts 500-600 boys and girls for baseball and soccer programs; Germantown’s programs host twice as many children annually.

Germantown’s Park and Recreation Department continues to grow, providing two seasons of community programs each year.

Germantown’s rolling meadows provide scenic beauty and recreational challenge. Golfers have a half dozen excellent golf courses in and around Germantown and another dozen within a half-hour drive in the metropolitan Milwaukee area. A favorite course of both residents and visitors alike is Zimmermann’s Kettle Hills 36 hole course. Kettle Hills uses the natural kettle moraine landscape of Washington County to provide challenging and beautiful play. The course is located just 2 miles west of Germantown in Richfield on Holy Hill Road.
