SUMMARY:Firemen's Park Second Public Information Meeting
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Village of Germantown and the Park & Recreation Commission\, I'd like to extend an invitation to attend the second public information meeting to discuss options for a new shelter building and related site improvements for Firemen's Park. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday\, August 29th at 5:30 p.m. at the Germantown Senior Center\, W162 N11870 Park Avenue\, located in Firemen's Park.\n\n \n\nMonies were allocated in the 2018 Capital Budget to begin the planning process for updating Firemen's Park with a multi-purpose shelter building. Firemen's Park is home to several well attended programs and special events including the 4th of July\, Taste of Germantown\, Germantown Community Band Concerts\, Family Carnival\, youth baseball and softball games\, as well as 50 plus park rentals each year by the general public. Firemen's Park is also home to the recently completed Gehl's Performing Arts Pavilion.\n\n \n\nThe Village of Germantown has hired Ayres Associates\, a multi-specialty architectural/engineering firm to assist with the park and facility planning process.
