Maintenance Technician

We’re Looking For A: Maintenance Technician

* Opportunities are available across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift and may require some weekend shifts. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machines to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and calibration in partnership with the Supervisor, Maintenance
• Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, utilizing necessary testing equipment
• Assist in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of special projects, equipment installation, and routine maintenance
• Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs completed
• Examines parts and equipment for defects or excessive wear
• Records repairs, maintenance, parts and materials used, and order new parts and materials as necessary

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 years of facilities maintenance experience
• 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical background
• Experience working in the pet food or food production industry is preferred
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and use hands
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Strong teamwork mentality and eager to work in a team environment
