Join us for a talk from local historian Ken Grigas as he shares with us what life was like in the trenches of Europe during World War I and here on the American homefront. This event will take place during the traveling exhibit “Beyond the Trenches: Stories from the Front” from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum which will be on display from Thursday, May 30 - Friday, June 14. Questions & answer session and reception to follow.
WORLD WAR I TRAVELING EXHIBIT
Over 122,000 Wisconsin men and women served on land, sea, and in the air during World War I. The traveling exhibit World War I Beyond the Trenches: Stories from the Front will be on display at the Germantown Community Library from Thursday, May 30 - Friday, June 14. This exhibit from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum includes 16 banners and details first person accounts of individuals in Wisconsin that played a role in shaping global history.
