Description
Charlotte Crysdale's father, Maj. Ralph Pearson, was one of the two dozen soldiers sent in 1945 by President Roosevelt to retrieve art stolen and held by Nazi Germany. Pearson, a public relations officer, traveled to Altaussee, Austria ahead of the Monuments Men and confirmed that a huge cache of art was being stored in a nearby salt mine. Program is free with Museum admission. A viewing of "The Monuments Men" starring George Clooney and Matt Damon will begin at 12:30pm. Free with Museum admission.
