  • Chamber History

Leaders in the Germantown business community felt local businesses were struggling due to a general lack of awareness.  In the summer of 1981, the Germantown Chamber of Commerce was formed to help promote the community and businesses in the area, with a total of 30 members.  The Marine Bank, (currently Chase Bank) located on Pilgrim & Mequon Road granted space to the Chamber in their lower level - which is still the office of the Germantown Chamber today.  In November of 1981, the famous Germantown Christmas parade was created by members of the Chamber, and today the Christmas parade has grown into a grand festival.  As one of Wisconsin’s fastest growing communities, the Germantown Chamber continues to keep pace with the dynamic world of business by helping business leaders connect and collaborate.
