October 18, 2018 6:30pm at The History Center Join us as we welcome Astrid Adler author of Our Ancestors were German for a discussion of her book and the emigration of our German ancestors. During the 19th century, nearly six million Germans left their homes for other countries; most would never see Germany again. Adler will discuss the reasons for their emigration and share stories of their emigration told through archival records such as passenger lists, census data, family letters, church records, and family trees.
