History comes alive once again as Old Falls Village Park prepares to host its annual WWII Days event from June 13th, Flag Day June 14th to June 15th, 2025, Father’s Day Weekend. This immersive experience offers attendees a unique opportunity to journey back to the era of World War II, right in the heart of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
WWII Days at Old Falls Village Park is not just an event; it's a tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of those who lived through one of the defining periods of the 20th century. Visitors will be transported back in time to the 1940s, where they can witness captivating reenactments, explore authentic military encampments, and engage with knowledgeable historians who bring this pivotal historical moment to life.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will have the chance to experience a wide array of activities and attractions, including:
Historical Reenactments: Witness thrilling reenactments of key battles and skirmishes, expertly staged to provide an authentic glimpse into the challenges soldiers face on both sides of the conflict.
Weapons Demonstration: Witness firsthand and up close the weapons of WWII. Soldiers will explain the details and differences of the guns used in WWII. See an assault on a bunker. Battles both days at 2 pm.
Presentation by the author of the book Tailspin on Saturday: Listen to a story about survival told by author John Armbruster. Hear the account of a World War II B-17 tail gunner, Gene Moran, who fell four miles through the sky without a parachute and lived after his plane was shot down.
Living History Displays: Explore meticulously recreated military encampments, where reenactors will demonstrate period-specific equipment, uniforms, and daily life routines, offering valuable insights into the experiences of soldiers and civilians during the war.
Educational Exhibits: Delve deeper into the history of World War II through engaging exhibits and displays, featuring artifacts, photographs, and interactive presentations curated by experts in the field.
Veteran Honor Wall: Pay tribute to Menomonee Falls heroes of World War II, as many of our veterans’ stories are listed on our Honor Wall. We thank them for their courage and sacrifices, as well as all those who gave their lives in service to their country.
Family-Friendly Activities: From children's scavenger hunts to vintage vehicle displays and musical performances, there's something for everyone to enjoy at WWII Days at Old Falls Village Park.

USO Themed Show Saturday Night: Command Performance Big Band will be playing at WWII Days from 6 – 9 PM. No cover charge to dance the night away under the stars of Menomonee Falls listening to the 1940s Big Band music we all love!
80th Anniversary of V-Day: As we mark the 80th Anniversary of V-Day in May, it is essential to remember those who have lost loved ones in the war and to honor the bravery and heroism of the soldiers who fought in it. V-Day celebrates the official ending of WWII in Europe. “Home Alive in 45” was a time when soldiers looked forward to the end of the war and returning home safely.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a veteran, or simply curious about the past, WWII Days offers an unforgettable experience that educates and entertains. Join us as we commemorate the legacy of the Greatest Generation and remember the profound impact of World War II on our world today.
